Are you learning English? If you have an intermediate or advanced knowledge of the English language and you want to practice with other students, join our conversation group and meet other students and friends that want to learn to talk in English.

Best of all, it's free. You don't have to travel to other countries to practice. You can practice with other students here in Peru.

My idea is to form a small group and we can meet at San Marcos. I had the opportunity to travel to the UK recently. I thought I knew English but when I got there it was very difficult to communicate with others. To know how to read and listen is very different from speaking. There are many combined abilities that you need to maintain a conversation with an English speaking native.

Don't forget that we learn from our mistakes. Don't miss this opportunity to practice and meet new friends.

Rules to improve your speaking skills

1. Do not study too much grammar. Study grammar when you want to pass examinations.

2. Learn and study common phrases. Learn both words and phrases together. Learn phrases and sentences so you don't have to think about the words you are saying.

3. Reading and listening is not enough. Practice speaking what you listen.

4. Submerge yourself. You don't need to travel to an English speaking country. Try to be around English speaking people.

5. Study correct material. Practice makes what you are practicing permanent. Study English material that you can trust.

Our group is getting bigger

I am surprised to see how our conversation group is getting followers so quickly. We want to form groups of 6 people. In the next days I will let you know when we can have our first meeting. The idea is to meet at San Marcos university at the intersection between Venezuela and Universitaria avenue in the Administration faculty.
